My experience with Barbara Potter was nothing less than superb. Prior to my appointment with Barbara, I had never done a professional photo shoot. I contacted Barbara to inquire about professional headshots, and she made me feel at home within no time. Barbara asked if I would send her images of my outfits prior to the shoot so that she could properly set the backdrop. This impressive amount of attention to detail was on full display during and after the shoot. Barbara made me feel comfortable, and within a few minutes of arriving at her studio, I found I was enjoying the experience more than I had anticipated. During the shoot, she took the time to sit down and discuss the photos throughout the process. There was no sense of rush. This strategy enabled us to adjust our approach, if needed. In addition, Barbara’s studio is beautiful and provides plenty of backdrops and accessories for anyone’s needs. Also, her state-of-the-art camera captures the best quality images you’ve ever seen. I’d feel remiss if I didn’t mention Barbara’s high-quality character. She accommodated my hectic schedule by being flexible. To provide an example, she offered me her personal laptop so that I could take an important meeting that arose unexpectedly. This level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find, and when one does find it, it is worth acknowledging. I met Barbara briefly before our photo shoot. Originally, we were only going to do a family photo shoot for one of the magazines that I advertise in. After speaking with Barbara I decided to have her do head shots for my business as well. She had great ideas and advice which I took to heart (changing my hair color prior to the shoot, keeping my new glasses as part of my look and what items to wear ). On the day of the photo shoot Barbara came to our house. She was very patient with taking pictures of my son, dog and I. She even got our dog to pay attention to her, which is incredible, since it's a challenge for me to get good pictures of him. She found the perfect spot at a nearby park for my head shots. She definitely has an amazing eye for capturing the perfect shots with the perfect background. We had so much fun!

Barbara did an absolutely wonderful maternity shoot for me with several different scenes and wardrobe changes. Never having done a professional shoot before, I was a bit nervous but that immediately went away. She was so great making us feel comfortable and was very easy to follow her direction on posing. She was even able to get some great pictures of our little fur babies in there as well which I thought was never possible because our one schnauzer can be a bit of a tyrant to strangers but he warmed right up to her in a matter of minutes! Dogs know. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!
